Facility Expansion Program

What does it take to "build" a church? What is the church anyway? Well the Bible says that the church is the "body of Christ". So it's not really not a bricks and mortar thing. The church is made up of all believers in Christ. A local church is a gathering of believers centered around the commission of Jesus Christ to make disciples. You might ask, "How does a building help us meet that goal?" The building is not the focus but rather a facility. This facility will help us engage the hearts of new people and reach more and more people for our Lord. And as we reach more, we will teach more and continue to build that Body of Believers until our Lord returns. And yes, He WILL return.

The following is an overview of what we're looking at in terms of an expansion. This will add a
12,000 sq. ft. Worship Center to the existing facility that began over 25 years ago.

This is what people would see from Interstate 270 on the south side of Columbus, in the Grove City area.

And this is what people would see from the back side of the existing property (standing directly behind the gymnasium).

Some have asked how they could get involved in the facility expansion program. Monetarily speaking, we're looking at a project that will top out at well over $1,000,000.

Currently, the Columbus Foundation (a non-profit that helps fund large scale project of this sort) has contacted us to let us know that an anonymous donor has put up a $450,000 matching grant. This amount will be donated directly to the New Building Fund just as soon as this amount in donations is raised.

At this time the church is preparing to set up a PayPal account to allow folks to give securely on-line. Until this happens, please make your check or money order payable to "Canaan Land FWB Church", write "Building Fund" in the memo area and mail it to:
